Dr. Foster

Mark and I have been going to Dr.Foster regularly for a while now. She is an amazing chiropractor. Today we went for Reid's first visit, and one last one for me before the baby arrives. While it was my turn, Reid was her helper. She was great with him and he had fun raising and lowering the table. He even "adjusted" my hand while she did my back.
He was excited to get on the table and be "tickled" by her. I was glad he followed her instructions well. She is so helpful to us and I love all the natural advice she offers. We are very thankful to know her.

Due Date.....oh, and Memorial Day, too.

Yes-today is my "due" date, and no baby. Here's how humongous I am. Things are feeling very heavy and we more eager than ever. I have an appointment tomorrow, but hopefully I wont make it. :)

We spemt a great day with Nana and Papa. The kids and I went over there this morning and we all headed for Seashore. We played at the playground, had a picnic, and went for a little hike on the trail. Mark joined us later and we relaxed all afternoon outside.

Here are the kids trying the swing..neither of them were brave enough to stay on long. There are still more good photos of the kiddies and the grandparents I have to get..

Our Rainy Day

(Well, turns out Im posting again before the baby arrives. Its going to be real soon, I just know it!)

Yesterday was very rainy here. The kids and I stayed in and had tons of fun together. Here is our "Rain Cloud" craft. Vara wouldnt look at the camera because "no, I sill paintin". They got so messy so it was straight into the tub. They had a good time painting the shower walls with their messy hands.

Our finished product.

After nap, we sat at the door and watched a huge thunderstorm. Hail began to fall on the porch, so I grabbed one to show the kids. Reid quickly sucked it out of my hand..that began our feast of hail. Taste like snow. :)
The power went out for a few hours so we lit tons of candles. I think that was the best inside day we've ever had to have.

Mother's Day

I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day. I love that day. Not just because I get to relax and Mark and the kiddies do sweet things for me, but because I am reminded of the great honor I have with them. It's no surprise to say I love being a mom--but I do!! I am thankful for my babes and for the new one we'll get to meet soon. Here's a shot from Sunday of all FIVE of us--(a very windy picture). Also, an extra pic of the kids looking so cute.

Hopefully my next post will be after the baby..think dialate--dialate!! Have a great week everyone-

Happy Birthday Nana!!

May 9th was Nana's birthday. We went over to celebrate with dinner and a visit. She is the best grandma for our kids and shows her love for them continuously. (please excuse Vara's pippy in her mouth)

She found a great little volcano for Reid..here he is conducting the experiment. Thanks Mom for you love and care!! Have a blessed year!

It's a bird....it's a plane...!!!

Reid has adopted Mark's superman cape from when he was a boy (handmade by Lori). Reid's understanding of who superman is limited to our explanation of the cape, and the bandaids he wears when he gets hurt. That being enough, he has a great time jumping onto his bed making his cape fly up. This is so cute--but still far from when Mark wore it along with red undies outside of his pants. Wish I had a picture to post of that time in the 80's.
(the pictures are backwards--oops)

My Little Nudist

Today's weather was perfectly warm and sunny. I hung out the wash, all white linens. After, I left Reid outside to play while I did some more work inside. (Monday is cleaning day here) So, after about 10 minutes, I go back out to check on him. I find him running through the sheets on the line. Do you remember doing that when you were little?
I smiled thinking how much fun he's having on this adventure. When he emerges, he is stark naked and the sun is shining on every wiggly part of his body. His face is lit up with delight as he turns to run through the tunnels and tents again.
I see he has scattered his clothes in a few places in the lawn. Normally, I have him re-dress himself whenever I find him naked, but this time I just let it go. While you are a child, and in the privacy of your own yard with cool sheets hanging, let it all free.
