A night in our life...

Typically we'd be visiting a care group tonight but Mark had a show he didn't want to miss. So, we are enjoying a night at home.
Getting dinner together was a circus tonight!!--the kiddies were all around my ankles and I broke two dishes! One, of which, was my beloved pizza stone. :(
I have a birthday coming up, so I guess its good timing to break it. Hint, hint Mark!!

I was SO happy to see Mark home!! We sat down to eat right away, so this night in our life begins....
Salmon cakes, corn, and salad to eat....except Vara, she had gruel and peas. (poor little sister!)

Reid helped me make Oatmeal Carob Chip cookies for dessert. I dont know if you can see it, but my sad little pizza stone is on the stove.

Afterwards, we played in Vara's room for a bit.

Looked through some books, too.

6:30--good night sister!! No need for a bath. She already had three today-- one after every gritty diaper...remember the beach??

Mark and Reid read books and played music while he waited for Jacob to arrive. Bye Daddy! Have fun..miss you!! Bye Jake! I let Reid play outside a bit more...Then we had a nice long snuggle. Here, he wanted to get his butterfly kisses on camera. We read ,and sang, and prayed. Good night Reidy! Love you to pieces! Now, the night ends. Im going to enjoy my dessert, practice my banjo, then watch a little tv. Im pretty tired... Thank you Lord for another day rich with your blessings!!

Beach today, Pool the other day..

Every year we clean out the sandbox and convert it into a pool. The kiddies had a great time splashing around. Mason was desperate to get in...we finally let him when we were finished playing.

Vara making her way to the sand, planting her face to get a good bite,
then a constant mess.

I taught Reid how to make drip castles

We found a crab right away and Reid was thrilled! (He has a little obsession with them) It turned out to be dead, so we brought it home to show daddy. :)

Tie-dye all around!

Court,
This is the bag I was telling you about.
It fit the theme. :)

I put sister's tie-dye suit on her and Reid had to get into his shirt like it. It was a bit wild, but cute...so I got some shots of them. Then out into public we went!!

He is so sweet to Vara, always copying her or trying to take care of her.

Enjoying Spring..

This is Reid's first tree "climb". Its our dogwood in the front. The trunk is a bit too tall still, so we haveto lift him into it. He sits there for as long as we allow...up to 15 minutes one time! Here is Vara at her birthday "photo shoot". I think I took a million pictures, yet only a few without her eating grass or something. It was fun.
These are recent shots of Vara and Reid outside. The weather has been great and the flowers in the yard make for an easy backdrop. We are heading for the oceanfront after Vara's nap today. Hopefully I'll have some fun pictures from that adventure.
